A meeting was held on Friday, 31.05.2024 regarding the 2024 Internal Evaluation Report of the Institution.

A meeting was held on Friday, May 31, 2024 to evaluate the contributions to be made as the Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (ESOGU TÖMER) unit and the activities on internationalization to be included in the 2024 Internal Evaluation Report of our university. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Emine GÜMÜŞSOY, Vice Rector in charge of the Center, and was attended by Center Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oktay BERBER, Assistant Directors Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuba ONAT ÇAKIROĞLU and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ersin KARADEMİR, member of the Board of Directors of the Center, and Lecturer. Dr. Berrin AR participated.  At the meeting, the contributions that our center can make to the university were discussed on the especially emphasized topics stated by YÖKAK. Accordingly, at the meeting;

-Updating the Unit Quality Commission,

-Updating the mission and vision of the unit,

-Planning of activities to be carried out in the academic year 2024-2025,

decisions have been taken.

 

A meeting was held with our internal stakeholder International Student Admissions and Registration Coordinatorship on Monday, 18.07.2024.

During the meeting, the following issues were discussed: holding an informative meeting with the participation of Provincial Immigration Administration officials for international students who enrolled in our university in the 2024-2025 academic year, determination of students who will receive Turkish preparatory education at TÖMER, control and equivalence of Turkish proficiency certificates.

 

A meeting was held with our external stakeholder Anadolu TÖMER on Tuesday, 27.08.2024.

Anadolu University Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Murat Sami Türker, Deputy Directors Assist. Assist. Erhan Yavaşlar, Lect. Assist. Enes Güleç, Administrative Coordinator Ezel Gündoğdu visited our center on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. ESOGU TÖMER Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oktay Berber and Assistant Directors Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuba Onat Çakıroğlu, Assist. Prof. Dr. Aliye Nur Ercan Güven welcomed the managers of Anadolu TÖMER and exchanged information about the administrative and Turkish as a foreign language teaching activities of the two centers. The visit ended after the planning of joint studies on the activities to be carried out in the new period regarding the social contribution processes of the institutions and the agreement to hold the next meeting at Anadolu TÖMER.

 

A meeting was held with our external stakeholder Anadolu TÖMER on Friday, 18.10.2024.

Our Center Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oktay Berber, Assistant Directors Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuba Onat Çakıroğlu, Assist. Prof. Dr. Aliye Nur Ercan Güven paid a visit to Anadolu TÖMER on Friday, October 18, 2024. Anadolu TÖMER Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Murat Sami Türker, Assistant Director Lecturer Erhan Yavaşlar, Lect. Enes Güleç, Administrative Coordinator Ezel Gündoğdu, the practices in the exams carried out by the two centers, the expectations and demands of the students from the centers and the training to be given at the basic level for foreign nationals residing in our city were discussed. It was decided to meet with the public education centers of our city regarding the content and realization of the training planned for social contribution processes and disadvantaged groups.

 

Our Quality Commission held a meeting on Friday, 25.10.2024.

In the meeting held by our quality commission under the chairmanship of Center Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oktay Berber, the determination of the evidence to be used in the 2024 unit quality report and the issues to be considered in the report writing process and the headings to be included in the quality report were discussed. Assignments were made to collect the identified evidence and to create the text of the quality report.

 

A meeting was held with our external stakeholder Anadolu TÖMER at Tepebaşı Public Education Center Directorate on Thursday, November 28, 2024.

There are foreign nationals residing in Eskişehir and learning Turkish in Odunpazarı and Tepebaşı public education centers in Eskişehir center. In this context, there are experts who can teach Turkish teaching in public education centers. Anadolu University TÖMER and Eskişehir Osmangazi University TÖMER managers held a meeting on Thursday, November 28th in order to transfer the current approaches in teaching Turkish as a foreign language to the experts teaching in these centers, and it was agreed to prepare the issue as a project.

 

Our Quality Commission held a meeting on Friday, 13.12.2024.

In the meeting held by our quality commission under the chairmanship of Center Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oktay Berber, the unit quality report prepared for 2024 was examined. In the meeting where the deficiencies in the report were identified, the studies to be carried out in order to encourage academic staff were discussed.

 

Our external stakeholder Eskişehir Technical University TÖMER was visited on 27.12.2024.

During the visit hosted by ESTÖMER Director Prof. Dr. Hülya Pilancı, joint activities that can be carried out between ESOGÜ TÖMER and ESTÖMER were discussed. Ideas were exchanged regarding the quiz competition to be held with the participation of international students learning Turkish in the 2024-2025 spring semester hosted by ESOGU TÖMER.
